I just came in from the garden; the end of a day spent unpacking and organizing. Turned the bed that I plan to plant tomatoes in tomorrow, figured out where I'm going to plant my first apple tree (or maybe Japanese maple?). As I said earlier, and as he said when he got home, this house has alot of potential.
My inlaws were in from the country today. It's so nice to pawn off my kids and have the time and space to get things done. This move has brought us home...like home home, where we're from. Three grandparents, an uncle and a great-granny, plus visiting hims and hers throughout the summer.
We went for a walk in the deep dark woods by our house. Big Westcoast trees, wind sweeping their towering tops, the smell of cedar and ocean air, eagles.
It is good to be home.

love the light here
