I never would have thought that one day I would look out at the water, at a fleet of 22 navy ships, and swell with pride and excitement and wonder and awe at the beauty of it all.
Today, at the beach, watching the fleet review, and sailors "manning the rails", nautical flags from bow to stern, and helicoptors, parachuters, Snowbirds, airplanes, and the so so many people out there watching too, I stood in rapture. I took so so many pictures, yet I couldn't capture the feeling, the grandeur of it all. Although I tried...
I wondered how he was feeling, what was going down, the chatter, the buzz. Front row to the front row seats, sitting on the throne.
He'll be home any minute now. I can't wait to hear the details.
