Day 2: The House

Today we spent pretty much the whole day at the house. (When I say we, I mean me and the kids.) Big, empty, boring, dirty (albeit freshly painted in a digestable neutral) house. We were there to let the cable guy in. Got there early, left late. Waited and waited and waited. Have you ever waited with a 4 year old? Just waited...

Not fun.

So I made up games, and tried to be interested in hers. Feigned interest...distracted by the filth.

I don't get how some people are just plain f'n slobs. I mean, globs of goopy disgustingness clinging to cupboards and hiding in drawers. I don't get how the previous owners thought I wouldn't find the 10+ bags of garbage they hid at the back of the yard, behind a tree. Or how it is Okay to dig the crap out of the yard taking the best of the perenials, leaving disheveled dirt holes and emptiness. F'n bastards...that's all I have to say about them.

So, I scrubbed the best I could. Between whining, laying on the floor, crying, exploring the yard, exploring the house...I scrubbed. And tomorrow? Tomorrow, I will scrub some more.

Compared to him I had a good day.

  2. My camera battery is dead. Hence no pics. But I'll see what I can do today. I like a blog with pics too.

The movers are coming at 9 so I've got an hour or so to de-grossify. Then, the fun begins...

Thanks for being my first customer Ines. I love you.
