We went to the beach today with my friend Esther and her boys. We are kindred spirits, her and I. It's really kind of cool.
It was a beautiful sunny day. And the kids had fun.
Tomorrow is my daughter's walkathon for her school.
I have a dozen muffins to bake.

- I am a Navy wife and I am a mom. I spend my days driving my kids to their things, trying to get stuff done, obsessing over the stock market and reading, word for word, the business section of the Globe and Mail. I love to garden and hope to get chickens the day our town changes the 'urban chicken' bylaw. At night I half sleep, waiting for my kids to wake up and deer to eat my tomatoes. I write to clear my head, and to keep my husband up to date.
