Day 320: Normal

This is how it has gone:

Buddy wakes up around 5 and I lay in bed with him, nursing, until he's fully awake. I get up with him, walk through the living room to the kitchen to put the kettle on for coffee. Turn my computer on, get the paper. I flip through the sections to the Report on Business, take it out and lay it, at the ready, on the kitchen table. I toss the coffee grinds from yesterday towards the Rhodos in the backyard, rinse out my Bodum, grind today's coffee and wait for the water to boil. Then I surf to gmail, then Google finance to watch the markets open in Toronto and New York. Read stock gossip, watch gains or losses, try to figure out why. Meanwhile, Buddy has come and gone many times, destroyed the tidiness of the livingroom, pulled me to the fridge, pointed and whined. As I surf, he eats.

This week I have been super sick and my paper subscription has ended. I drank no coffee. My husby stayed home tuesday to let me sleep and tend to kids. (He's so awesome!) But, as much as I like him home, I miss my normal.

I'm going to resubscribe tomorrow. EGlobe and Mail just doesn't cut it.
