Euphorbia, spirea, pieris.
I love the bronze euphorbia contrasted with the bright yellow spirea, which will have pinky-purple flowers in a month of so, and the bright pink tipped pieris, although you can't make out the tips, or much of the pieris for that matter.
And I love the "cottage garden" feel of bleeding-heart coupled with sky blue forget-me-nots, chartreuse columbine, and daylilies I have yet to see in flower transplanted from the wrong spot in the garden to here, in front of the hybrid tea roses. Full sun (for the most part.)
I transplanted quite a few plants from wrong spot to, hopefully, right(er) spots. The columbine and forget-me-nots were self-seeded from last year and everywhere, although I thinned some out here and there. I grouped the bleeding heart for effect (as opposed to one here, one there, lost on their own). The spirea was hidden behind shrub roses so I dug them out and in to show them off from my kitchen window.
This is what I do.
