He came and went. Like a storm in the night, only for the weekend, by accident and full of surprises. We got videos! I've already watched the entirety of mine. (I couldn't help it...it was sooo good!) My daughter has watched hers twice. I gardened for 4 or so hours, he washed the car with the kids. We puttered like a family, and it was good.
This morning, we went down the beach, as we do, but this time we brought friends. We saw him flash the lights, we waved and waved harder. Three kids in yellow, one in blue. Two moms.
And then we moms with kids in tow shopped at London Drugs, stacking our meticulously filed coupons, hoping for a savings record. My personal best this time, saving about two thirds. The tally was less than a twenty. (And yes those are 8 cans of soup there...I couldn't resist at 19 cents a piece. And no, I did not BUY Febreeze, it was free with one of my coupons.)
My sister is coming tomorrow. All the way from Texas to spend a week with me and my kids. She's never met my Buddy, and she's never seen my house. I want to show her a day in the life of us and all of my favourite things. I want to know about her.
Life is good these days.
